Consolidation in China: Bundling, Storing, and Shipping Goods as a Shared Container
Eva Solutions collects your orders from different suppliers in our own warehouse in China, checks them, repacks them, and bundles them into a single shipment — as a shared container by LCL or FCL, by air freight, rail freight, or truck to Germany and Europe.
- Our own consolidation warehouse in China: receiving, checking, and storing your goods
- Bundling of partial deliveries from several factories into a single shipment
- Repacking, labeling, and creating the packing lists
- Shipping as a shared container (LCL) or a dedicated container (FCL), by air or rail freight
- One shipment, one customs declaration, one point of contact
What Does Consolidation in China Mean?
If you buy from several factories and ship each delivery separately, every shipment carries its own base freight charge and its own customs handling. With small partial quantities, this raises the cost per unit.
Consolidation in China combines the partial deliveries: all goods arrive at a central warehouse, are checked and repacked, and leave the country as one shipment — with one bill of lading and one customs declaration instead of many.
Eva Solutions runs this in our own warehouse with a native-speaking team on the ground. Storage bridges the time until the last factory has delivered — you don't ship an incomplete order in advance.
Our Services in Consolidation
-
Receiving and Storage in China
We receive your manufacturers' deliveries at our warehouse and store them until the order is complete. That way you balance the different production times of the factories without shipping partial deliveries prematurely.
-
Bundling Goods from Several Factories
We combine orders from several suppliers into one shipment. We reconcile each partial delivery against your order and check quantities and cartons before bundling.
-
Quality and Quantity Control
On request, we check goods and packaging before consolidation, with photo and video documentation. You flag defects to the manufacturer while the goods are still in China.
-
Repacking, Labeling, and Packing Lists
We repack securely for transport and optimize the volume for container stuffing — more compact packaging lowers freight volume and cost. We then label the packages and create the packing list with contents, dimensions, and weight per carton.
-
Preparation for Export and Shipping
We assemble the export documents, handle the export with our own export license, and hand the shipment over to transport — by sea freight, air freight, rail freight, or truck.
Shared Container from China: LCL and FCL
| Option | Suitable For | Principle | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| LCL (Less than Container Load) | quantities under approx. 15 cbm | your goods share a container with other shipments | per cubic meter (cbm) |
| FCL (Full Container Load) | quantities from approx. 15 cbm | a complete 20- or 40-foot container exclusively for your goods | flat rate per container |
With a shared container (LCL), we bundle your partial deliveries and book the matching share in the container — sensible when your total quantity does not fill a whole container. The larger the bundled volume, the lower the freight cost per cubic meter. From around 15 cbm, your own FCL container pays off; we optimize the container stuffing.
Your Benefits from Consolidation
-
Lower Freight Costs
One base freight charge for the bundled shipment instead of one per supplier. The rate per cubic meter drops as volume grows, and more compact repacking reduces it further.
-
A Single Customs Declaration
We clear the bundled shipment once instead of each delivery individually — less effort, fewer fees, fewer sources of error.
-
Control Before Shipping
In the warehouse we check quantities, quality and packaging and resolve complaints directly in China — before the shipment travels thousands of kilometers.
-
One Point of Contact Instead of Many Interfaces
One warehouse, one bill of lading, one point of contact at Eva Solutions — instead of several suppliers and forwarders in parallel.

Cost of Consolidation: What Affects the Price?
We calculate every order individually; blanket statements are not possible. We disclose all cost items transparently.
- Storage Duration
- Short interim storage until the order is complete is inexpensive; longer storage is charged by area and duration.
- Number of Suppliers and Partial Deliveries
- The more individual deliveries we receive, reconcile and bundle, the higher the handling effort.
- Repacking and Labeling Effort
- Simple repacking differs from sorting carton by carton, labeling, or preparing to special requirements.
- Shipment Size and Transport Mode
- LCL is billed per cubic meter, FCL at a flat rate per container. Volume, weight and transport mode determine the freight.
- Quality Control
- The optional goods inspection with a photo and video report is charged by scope.

Frequently Asked Questions about Consolidation in China
What is a consolidation warehouse in China?
A warehouse where goods from several suppliers are collected, checked, repacked, and combined into a single shipment. This produces one bill of lading and one customs clearance instead of many individual shipments.
How does consolidation from multiple suppliers work?
Your manufacturers deliver to our warehouse in China. We receive each partial delivery, reconcile it against your order, store it until complete, repack it, and bundle everything into one shipment for export.
How much does consolidation save on freight costs?
That depends on the number and size of the partial deliveries. You pay the base freight charge once instead of per supplier, the rate per cubic meter drops with the volume, and only one customs clearance applies. The smaller the individual quantities, the greater the benefit.
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
With LCL, your bundled goods share a shared container with other shipments, billed per cubic meter. With FCL, you use a complete 20- or 40-foot container exclusively, billed at a flat rate per container.
When is LCL worth it, when FCL?
LCL suits quantities under around 15 cbm, when your goods do not fill a whole container. From around 15 cbm, FCL is cheaper per cubic meter because you use the loading volume fully.
What does a shared container from China cost?
LCL is billed per cubic meter, FCL at a flat rate per container. The price depends on volume, weight, departure port, and transport mode. On top come port fees, customs, and import VAT. We prepare a precise calculation on request.
How long can my goods be stored in China?
A short interim storage until the order is complete is standard and inexpensive. Longer storage periods are possible and are charged by area and duration.
Are the goods checked before shipping?
On request, yes. We check quantity, quality, and packaging with photo and video documentation, so that defects can still be flagged with the manufacturer in China.
Which transport routes are used to ship the bundled shipment?
By sea freight as an LCL or FCL container, by air freight, or by rail freight — depending on quantity, budget, and delivery date.
Can I combine consolidation with shipping and fulfillment?
Yes. We bundle in China, ship to Germany, and store the goods in the fulfillment warehouse if needed — consolidation, import, and fulfillment from one source.
